As you notice, the style of my work tries to convey a REALISTIC approach of the subjects in their natural habitat or as stand alone portraits. This aligns to the basic principles of scientific illustration.

Before I became an artist I worked as a field ornithologist, assistant curator in a natural history museum, and I was involved in many research projects focus on ecology, biodiversity, and evolution in the Neotropical Region. These experiences gave me the skillset to understand the natural world around me and have a deep influence on my style.
